Lizard Kudu Trail map
This is a short self-guided trail which starts and ends at the farmhouse. It is a 3km long circular trail which takes about 1.5 hrs to complete.

This is a nice walk to see birdlife as you are always within a stone's throw of the Tsondab river where birds, such as Goshawks, Hammerkop, Hoepoe and Plovers to name but a few, can be seen in and amongst the various Acacias. Nevertheless, other animals such as the much loved Baboons, and antelope such as Kudu, Blessbok and Springbok are often seen.

The walk is easy as the trail is set in the BüllsPort plains but closed shoes are a good idea because of thorns. A hat plus about half a litre of water should also not be forgotten. Don't forget something warm in winter and some bug spray if walking after the rains. Mosquitos like to breed in the river. So grab your binoculars and have a good walk.
